Default my new intercooler from begi

click for more photos.

pretty nice if I do say so myself!

I like the feature on the inlet to direct the airflow to the whole core. do the chincacoolers do that too?

The mounting points look really beefy, there's no way those will ever break.

How much $$$ did the intercooler cost?

yeah B&P. tube and fin would have rounded tubes vs. square as you look into the charge pipe. slightly smoother for air getting to the radiator, but more delicate construction... like..

Code:
tube and fin

Actually it was probably Eddy, who is a master welder in his own right, but Corky can lay down a bead with the best of them. I couldn't tell you who's better... the whole staff there other than Stepanie can weld.

What's holding her back? It's really not hard to learn... just takes practice to get good.

but yeah, she alluded to him welding it up but maybe I misheard. if she sees this maybe she can clarify

If she said he was welding it I wouldn't doubt it. I just know how good Eddy is at welding too. You never know who might be working on your stuff there, but it often doesn't matter because the quality for the most part is kept very high... every once in a while something gets missed... Damn Humans.

I should have had him autograph it.

Steph said he was in a barnes and noble or borders or something and saw copies of his book on the shelf and started pickin them up and signing them.

thats sick looking. Man, my chinacooler might cost less and be a lot larger but you really cant beat the quality of the core and craftsmanship on that intercooler.

See I have this theory......
Once you know how to do something, you might be expected to do it again. And if I learned and someone called in sick.... Ah. No thanks. I am sure that my typing skills are much better than beads. At least that is what I keep telling Corky. And yes, just about everyone else around here can weld but me. But I can install parts does that count?

but yeah, she alluded to him welding it up but maybe I misheard. if she sees this maybe she can clarify
Corky did make it. Eddie and Corky are probably the best aluminum welders ever. Eddie is the "artist". Take a look around the Bell Intercoolers website. He welded 98% of all the intercoolers shown. The irony in Eddie's story - he's from Grand Junction, Co.
