Default Name these turbos

Turbo 1 shows a compressor of .48 and impeller of .64. I can't find a match on Garrett's web site.

The second is compressor .80 and impeller .64. I think it is a 2554.. can you confirm?

Turbo 2 is a T25 from an SR20.

Turbo 1 has a bad compressor wheel.

your pictures suck.

What would that typically cost to rebuild or replace?

remove the compressor housings and measure the ind/exd. diameters

snap a shot compareing the turbine wheels.

Yea, I'll be running number two for now. I purchased the first blind and got robbed because it is useless without a new compressor. I purchased the second as a known good unit just to get the system running.

I'll take some pics this afternoon.

ok pics and measurments. On the left is turbo 1 right is turbo 2.

I don't have a decent micrometer any more so all numbers are kinda guess work.

Turbo 1 seems to have an inducer of 42mm and exducer of 52mm

Turbo 2 seems to have an inducer of 42mm and exducer of 54mm

Two people have identified turbo 2 as a T25 from an SR20. That seems really close to a GT2554, only 1/2mm different on the exducer. Is that the main difference?

What would the measurments make the first one? Something around a 2252? The A/R does match, but the size is close.

Now the pics...

Im going to guess they are both the same sized turbo. Not many 52mm wheels floating around, although the blades look different. 5 blades vs 6.

shame they are slightly different can then you could use the better housing on turbo 2.

the sr20 turbo is sized like a 2554. main difference is journal bearing vs ball bearing. it's a great little turbo to use for a ~220rwhp install.
