Question Need Help figuring out the proper fittings

Hello Peeps of miataturbo.net, Im slowly piecing together everything i need to turbo my 1.6 and need help figuring out the last stretch. I still need to source my oil and water supply/return lines and the adapters. Also i need to source a downpipe that would fit my turbo. Fortunately/Unfortunately i wasnt the one who purchased this turbo/manifold but it came with the car when i originally purchased it. Ive looked at the FM downpipe and so far that is the top contender for the downpipe ill use but i just want to be 100% certain it would fit. Also i know im going to need m10x1.5 to -3an fittings for the oil feed line but im still unclear on what i need for the water lines as they are based off the turbo and i dont know what turbo i have lol. Any ways thank you for reading and any help is appreciated.

Is that turbo actually water cooled? I'm also gonna hazard a guess and say that the FM downpipe will not work with that. Looks like a chinese T3 similar to what is in the MKturbo kit, not the T25 based stuff in the FM setup. FM does not use V bands.

We wouldn't know what downpipe would fit since the downpipe placement is determined by what manifold you are using.

That is a 1.6 ebay TacoTaco manifold. I believe the turbo you have just needs oil. You won't find an off the shelf downpipe for that manifold. It will have to be custom made.

^^ What shuiend said. There are no off the shelf designed downpipes to match that manifold/turbo placement, especially in v-band. Luckily having a v-band downpipe fabricated is easier than fabricating a Garret 5-bolt flange downpipe so costs should be comparable.

Oil feed adaptor sounds right and looks like there's no water cooling, so you'll just have to take a few measurements to find the bolt-on fitting you want for the oil drain. Barb fittings and clamps are acceptable for the drain line.

Thank you so much, that actually helped a lot. I havent been giving the car much attention recently because of some covid situation but i plan on getting this rolling soon. Im gonna order the oil lines and fittings i need so i can put everything together, tow it to an exhaust shop for the downpipe and tow it to the tuner.

Just make sure to keep in mind is that with a "non-standard" set up like what you're thinking of doing, changing either of the hotside components (manifold, turbo) will likely require you to change the downpipe again to get the correct fitment.

From what I'm seeing, looks like a decent budget hotside so hopefully nothing needs changing in the near future. Just make sure to give that turbo some time before shutoff to avoid oil coking.
