New and no time lol
I think he's saying that OP should be making enough money that the tax return or not shouldnt be a deciding factor in buying the MS. I got less than $500 back total, and I feel like a failure, I was trying to get within +/-$100.
I would not say recent. Been about 5 years ago and have no problem saying it cause I don't portray myself to be some ******* super tech. If I had a proper ecm I would have no real issue setting it up, I understand that, but letting the stock one do it for me for now was all I was trying to accomplish. And I would love to know where to find a ms for 7-800, everything I find is 1200.

You shouldn't be getting anything back, you should be paying the full amount, and hold it all until the last minute.

Or not take tax advice off the internet.
Got my ms mounted in glovebox (glad wiring loom was long enough). Looking into wide bands and seems like the LC-2 is the one to get but the mtx-l is tempting. Any recognizable difference between the 2? Also getting the gm iat and a electric boost controller. Any other recommendations that on the verge of necessity.

Which wideband has the features you desire?
They both seem to be equal just the mtx can be used for multiple fuels but both work with megasquirt just the mtx is a "newer" product but is less expensive. Tuner studio has the lc-2 in the drop down but not the mtx which wouldn't be too hard to enter it seems
MTX-L is newer than LC-2? That would be news to me.
Thought that it was what I read that it was newer but I have a tendency to read to fast. But the ahem is a good one? The universal part I'm not too worried about since I will probably never go to e85 just looking for the best bang (bang reader) for the buck since I just dropped my load on my ecu
