Haha yeah I'm around 7,000$ as it sits... Still don't have my mega squirt either. Or a new radiator, or a nice intercooler or any of the piddly things still needed. But it's just gonna take time. Engine should be in car by the time snow flies here in MN which is around October here. Then things will be slowed down a bit as well due to below zero temps and a non insulated or heated garage. The holset hy35 is a .66ar exhaust side and with the major head work and oversized valves should spool rather well I'm hoping

Yeah tools are nothing. I'm a auto tech been for two years now. But car repair has been my profession of choice so the work and tool availability is nothing to me. But I know my basics for sure but haven't built a boosted car. And I do wanna push this holset to its limits. I want 400whp. Whether it's gonna happen I don't know yet. But car should breath fire for the first time by next summer. I will keep updateding this thread when I get to it. Always appreciate the input as most of you guys have boosted BP's and I bought mine on a spur of the moment deal and said "turbo Miata? Yeah sure!"

As far as the holset hy35 I know it will flow almost 60cfm at full tilt. So it will definately move air. So time will tell as far as that goes. Whether I will have enough fuel I don't know yet Will post some more pics. And as far as rx7 trans I have a Miata pressure plate and a rx7 turbo II clutch disc that fits perfectly. Gonna see how well that works. With any luck I will have the trans in as well before snow flies. Do my best to update.

Let me add some advise form someone making only ~280hp.
You NEED to do a coolant reroute
Don't mess with any other radiator fans but Spal
Get the FM cross flow radiator
Talk to Reverant about his Enhanced Megasquirts
Get rid of the heat wrap on your manifold
Insulate the trans tunnel from heat, the inside of the car will get hot.
