on the topic of IC, would an intercooler, or intercooler replacement for the MSM bolt into a 99? with little or no modifications?

depends on your turbo location, it could work but i dunno never touch that IC stuff it gives you lag, the msm IC is abit small anyway, why not get a real one or WI

i will let ya know... If it does work, its going to be aluminum heat shields, aluminum air scoops, aluminum soldered drain pipe into ail plan.. oh the posibilities are endless!!

but you are prolly right, to good to be true!

I have seen comercials for aluminoid looks interesting i would be interested if it works, hey flip dont hold back i missed what your post was initialy if you have another opinion or think i am an *** say so and if i cant prove you wrong then you and bripad can be freinds and he can teach you how to make me look like the silly noob i am. well, that video i posted shows that it works. It seems to be some kind of hard solder that melts at 750 degrees... and then gets hard again very fast.. id say its some sort of aluminum alloy, but did you see how hard it was when he was drilling it?? I guess i will get to test is when it comes in

i cut the pipes off my DSM intercooler last night, and cut the holse for the new pipes. I didnt realize how thin the material is that that thing is made out of.. cant be more than .020" and it has like .100" plates rivited all over it to strengthen it i guess.. Weird design. Just enuff flat place to poke 2 2 inch pipes comming right out of the top though, i think this thing is gonna turn out nice... as long as that durafix solder stuff actualy works.

yup. im going to space the radiator back, and put the IC as high as i can get it. I want to go for the shortest intake as i can.. Im also going to build some ducting the bring air up and straight through the IC

make sure you get all of those filings out. one porsche guy i know ruined a 944 motor by not getting his intercooler clean out throughly after he worked on it.

yeah, i planned on running a pressure washer through it when its done, then letting it soak in some good soapy watter for a while. Thanx for the tip tho.. ruined 944 engine = shitty
