noob- boosting/choosing a miata

adobo, from what i can gather by reading your thread you still have a lot to learn and read. you might think you have a complete list of parts together, but that needs to be complemented with a complete knowledge of what you're putting on your car and how to keep your car running without hurting your motor or worse yourself. understand that this is probably gonna take some time. idk if you have already sorted out all of the problems on your car since you got it but i'd make sure that all of the maintenance is in order while you're still searching the forum and reading threads. get familiar with the terminology that is associated with turbo parts too because people like to abbreviate or "acronym-ize" a lot of things.
just be patient, get a good understanding of turbocharging/supercharging/forced induction/hell, even n/a engineering, and i'm sure that in the end you'll save yourself some headache, heartache, and probably money. good luck man

that's good. that just puts more emphasis on it since it's pretty important. i just wanted to reiterate the advice since you didn't even seem to know something as (what i consider) basic like "standalone" when people were referring to engine management. good luck and i hope you post up a sick build thread. can never have too many of those

UPDATE:
-I did an Oil change 10w40 mobil 1 at 147k miles
-Changed Transmission fluid. Royal Purple 75w90 at 147k miles
-Changed Rear Differtial Fluid. Royal Purple 75w90 at 147k miles
The car smooths extremely better than when I first bought it. The trans was never changed from when it was bought nor was the diff. The color was dark brown. I'm guessing water got into the system. Shall I a fuel system clean? I got a gumount liquid intake cleaner *professional use only(the one you put into the brake booster).

Replace your fuel filter while you are at it. Genuine Mazda or WIX, everything else is crap.

Sounds close to the same process I use for SeaFoam. I usually feed it through the little nipple on the top of the manifold on my NB. Seafoam in a spray has you add it in front of the throttle plate. No idea what Gumout prescribes, google or youtube maybe? People seem to love making videos about crap like this. Not to be a complete jackass, but are there no instructions on the bottle?

Genuine Mazda

WIX filters should be available at any Napa auto parts location.

If you need a new bracket.

So I was trollin' around planet miata to find some replacement parts and I decided to check the turbo kits. I found this:
http://www.planet-miata.com/index.ph...h-item&idn=277
any reviews for this? dyno? etc.. I didn't think Greddy had a turbo kit for the 1.6
