I bought an o2 clamp from the classfieds and it is missing a piece. It is a Flyin Miata first generation clamp with seperate switch. It is missing the little spring that goes under the brass adjusting screw. Any one know how I can source one? I was almost thinking of trying a spring from bic clicker pen. $20 for the clamp so I am not to worried if have to toss it.
Thanks
Thanks

Fixed it
. Took a spring from a bic clicker pen, chopped it to 3/8" and so far so good. I tested it with a hand vacuum pump at 2 Hg and it activates and holds.
And thanks FM for the tech support

Nice work on the fix. I bought a used clamp too and I'm worried about it not working (paranoid I guess). I am still trying to figure out more about it. It's a Flying Miata O2 clamp. I have no instructions. It does have an adjustment screw, just one. I've been searching, but having rouble finding info that helps. Do you think you might be able to help?

btw it is very easy to bench test with a hand vacuum pump.
