As far as I konw the kit comes with a 304 Stainless dowpipe.......I'll just hook my twin 3" exhaust from that????we have no need for a CAT in our jungle justice society,im thinkig of removing it completely.......whats the thoughts on this and what size injectors would you guys get if you were in my shoes?

yeah it comes with a downpipe, but it will only fit if you decide to use their manifold, i hade to cut mine and put in another bend and extend it. Honestly i think a turbo'd miata sounds badass with a open downpipe, but its loud as hell, 3" exhaust with an straight through muffler should make it sound nice, and offer a good spool. if you planning on running 8psi, you can just get some of the 1.8l injectors, unless your 1.6l engine has a higher cc then the 1.6l here in the US.

Do you reckon i'll get closte to 200 ponies with propper tuning @8-10psi?

i wish i could dyno it, im short on money, college student ftw. im running 8psi, i just assume im around 180ish. i think its a good guess

What engine managment setup are you planing to do to control fuel and\or spark

standalone, piggyback, FMU, etc?

Also do you know if your 1.6l has a flapper door MAF or a hot wire MAF?

I'm going to run a GO-tech stand alone management(locally made),..I,ve heard its rather popular in the uk ....pretty good stuff over here,http://www.gotechefi.com/ just thought let them dyno and tune their own shit:vash: in stead of a (No offense) foreign or different system such as a mega squirt...

Regarding the MAF I could be wrong but think its the flapper door, since its not the same as the NA models in the US you folks have, and my brother has a 2002 1.8i,same spec as you folks get and looks the same as mine....what do you suggest?:noob:

Have you ever dragged a S2000 or something similar to compare pull with, and how do you hold up @ that level?:hustler:

I read the same thing on the faqs mentioned earlier, however youre fucked beyond 8psi with stock 1.8 injectors:jerkit:.....another thing, the swap????is it easy, meaning same plugs etc:loser:...and what colour injector the best option if going with 1.8?

flapper maf is big like in the pic
http://media.photobucket.com/image/a...r/DSC03202.jpg
All stock US 1.6l models had them

The non flapper door maf is this one

If you are going with a standalone though, you can probably use Speed density instead if you want to, more than likely you will have to as many stand alones support that over mass air flow setups.

nope, i never have time to go to the strip, or im always driving around in busy streets, so ive only really swhowed up little ricers with fart cans, or the big trucks with loud exhausts and 22" chrome rims.
Beofre my miata, i had a honda prelude that i turbo'd and it was a low 14 seconds car, i can tell that my miata is faster, what do you mean how do i hold up? how the car is? elaborate please :)

actually, im able to run 10psi on my injectors, they are at like 95% duty cycle, but i can still do it :P im not sure what color, i know its somewhere on this form, or just search google. ive found it before, id get the link for you but im going to work in a minute. all miata injectors are "plug n play", again, search on google or on this form somewhere, they give you a list of all "plug n play" injectors for the miata :)

I can get decent 300cc plus ones here for less than $250......or would you suggest something else.easily available on E bay for instance in the same class?Im still flirting with the idea of going 10psi,alott of 350z over here begging for a spanking!:fawk:

:2cents:Im going cast now and also thinking of different T3/T4 chinacharger...But will have to check for a kit again since I would like one with a cast manifold from the start, and would also help if I can get something with a 10 psi internal wastegate....Any help anyone....:hustler:

Techsalvager 08-27-2010 12:42 PM

Get a boost controller to alter boost pressure.

Also don't look at psi as a measurement of power output, 10 psi can be only 180-200whp on one turbo and on another turbo could be the death of the engine.

I would also look at getting injectors bigger than 300cc, near 400 range, to give you room.

oldschool 08-27-2010 08:06 PM

whats the thought on this kit, unfamiliar with it,but seems allright, cast manifold etc,but also really stretching my buget here ... thhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110441501942&viewitem= &_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2&category =33742e budget....

FRT_Fun 08-27-2010 08:20 PM

I didn't really read this thread... but just wondering why you don't want to piece together something with used parts. Probably end up being better quality than the above listed. Also I would recommend an AFR Gauge as one is not included in that setup. Even if you are not doing the tuning yourself.

Not sure why they have a 255LPH fuel pump in there either... or a high flow fuel filter??? I probably wouldn't trust either of those from an unknown source.

meh, i wouldnt go with it, it gives you a lot of useless stuff that could potentially hurt yor engine. i hope your budget isnt 1500 for a whole turbo kit, you gotta pay if you wanna play, and doing a turbo install, dont be cheap. the only thing id buy over ebay, would be a intercooler and piping kit, a downpipe, or a cast iron manifold, and possibly a turbo, i tend to go through cxracing for turbos, because its a little easier to return things if it happens to be broken. but main things you want, cast iron manifold for reliability, go with a t25/t28 turbo, the stock 1.6l engine doesnt exactly spool up a bigger turbo as quickly like a t3/t4, and t28 can give you what you want. get a name brand bov, every bov ive owned from ebay or a cheap bov never worked properly, a reliable air/fuel ratio gauge, and a good fuel managment system.

i pieced my kit together, for the most part.
heres my post of my install. hope its helps and gives you a little insight.

Ok if the T3/T4 wont spool up as nice I will stick to the CX racing one,and just order a T28 cast manifold elsewhere!!!Here is my estimated cost and Budget...
1)Turbo kit(CX or something else witm most of the hardware)$800-$1000
2)Stand alone $700-$900 over here
3)Dyno and tuning about $300 over here
4)Alterations and extras such as AFR and BOV etc....$300

What do you guys tkink, too cheap for comfort?

that should work out good, but call cx and negotiate a price with them since you wont be needing the manifold, save you a few extra dollars. and dont use the "free" boost gauge. its very inaccurate.

Techsalvager 08-29-2010 07:04 PM

T3 will be fine, stop saying T3\T4 and start using more specifiy turbo specs.
A smaller T3 should be fine, 45 trim .48 ar on the turbine

Check Dyno sheet area and you can see how each different system effects overal power output.

The cheapest cast manifold I"ve seen is the one on ebay for around 140 USD shipped to the states. There are cheaper stainless setups off ebay but they are known to crack after a while.

If you want a T2 flange turbo there is allways the T2 to T3 adapter.

Thanks, really apreciate youre input and knowledge in this african fuck up,the turbo yore reffering too has more or less the same spool rate as the t28 i reffered to,in my previous posts,if i'm correct?

The other option I'm considdering is this one(T3 I think),please tell me youre opninion about the turbo specs and also youre opninion on a 16 or 20G turbo?
