Sorry, I only speak English.

Are you saying that the only thing holding the radiator on is that bracket on top? Also, how well do you reckon the 2" pipes will flow once you stop them from falling apart?

bryantaylor 02-02-2008 02:48 AM

no, its still on the stock mounts on the bottom. and the 2inch pipes will flow enough for the power i plan on making. i only want a MAX of 200whp

speedf50 02-02-2008 03:34 AM

So its just stock bottom mounts and that upper one in the picture changing the angle, leaving the original upper mounts unbolted?

I really like this idea because it is nice and simple and clean.

And do you think the pipes would limit you to 200whp or thats just what you want to achieve? I think that is the kind of power I would want too, I still need to get a ride in a boosted miata.

bryantaylor 02-02-2008 04:17 PM

i have no idea what it would be good up too, but the most power i want to make is 200. its really fun to drive now at maybee 150whp, at most. 13g at 7-8psi

Toddcod 02-02-2008 05:35 PM

I would love to ride in one too. I have bought all these parts and have never ridden in one. Im ready to get mine running and the car turbo'ed.

How much power would you expect from 305cc injectors and 10psi, on a 92 1.6 with a fm kit. 3 inch down pipe? I don't have to pass smog so I was thinking of putting 3 inch to the back. I wounder if that would help or help or hurt it.

I want to eventually run 12psi and get a MS but I'm tired of waiting.

It is going to run or burn to the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep, for now. they work great for low boost

The_Pipefather 02-02-2008 08:54 PM

Did you need to clearance the hood. If so can you post a pic with the hood closed.

I really like your build, how much $ do you have in it so far anyways?

220 for MS
40 for the intercooler and new outlets welded
70 for the turbo
30 for the injectors
125 IIRC for the mani
20 for a nice DSM O2 houseing that i made a downpipe out of
abour 30 in charge pipes/couplers at most

so just over $500

patsmx5 02-03-2008 04:29 PM

Yea I'll be doing an over the rad charge pipes as well on my 99. Will go with at least a 18x12x3 core, but may go longer if I can. 18" core puts the center of the charge pipes around 21-22", which is just right to go from the to the SC, or now, the turbo. I'd like to go as large as possible though, so I may put something with a larger core and 'make' it fit.

Damn you are frugal, I guess it helps that you can actually fab up your own DP and other parts. Major props for going turbo on that kind of budget, if I could find a way to go turbo for <$800 I would already be boosted.

teknikscian 02-04-2008 04:01 PM

$40 Ebay intercooler piping kits FTW.

And a Harbor Freight bead roller will eliminate the "need" for a whole lot of t-bolt clamps.
