problem with axle in high hp miata

i only had 220 to the wheels when i snapped my right axle, with drags....but i think that also had to do with the accident i had when i crashed the right side of the rear wheel on a curb..idk

I dunno.. Mine were the old stage 5s with hub replacement and extended wheel studs!

my 300k miles trans was holding up fine at 300rwhp until the day i removed it for a lower mileage one just in case. then again my car is a lil lighter and i don't beat the **** out of it.

Does he drag race? IMO that's the difference. It might not grenade on the clutch dump, but shocking it over and over is sending it to the grave. A friend of my mine tracked his 300rwhp 1.8 turbo Miata for at least six years on a stock 1.8 drive line with slicks. Probably did four or five events a year sometime more and never had any issues.
