Rear Turbo Setup
Hi Everyone, First post here on MiataTurbo and would like to say hi. Hope you enjoy the post and pics.
So here's the Parts list:
Comp Turbo, Water Cooled Ceramic Bearings, no oil.
MSPNP Pro Here's a huge suggestion, make sure you lengthen the wires that are given to you by DIY Autotune so you can have easier hookup from the extra terminals in the back. Do the same with the vacuum line, put about 18" on it and run a barbed coupler to connect the one going through the firewall to the engine. If your afraid of it blowing off with boost super glue it. Don't put the super glue in the vacuum tube just on the barbed ends and slide them on, they won't come off.
Tial waste gate
Turbosmart BOV.
Custom charge pipe by me, I have a bender.
Custom exhaust, I have mig and tig.
GM IAT sender.
MS electronic boost controller
Extra GM 3 bar map sensor for exhaust back pressure reading. Have not taken any readings yet.
LM1 wideband setup.
2" tubing
Lots of good turbo hose clamps

I don't hate you for your car or turbo placement decision, I hate you for dropping that kilo brick of words on me while expecting me to keep track. All I get is rear turbo from the first, and don't hate from the end.

This is awesome and I just can't fault you for doing something different and unique. My only wonder is how the spool and pressure drop is going to be considering how far the air has to go. Especially since the charge air is travelling a couple inches away from the hot exhaust. Still a badass setup imo
I live in California and wanted a quick easy removal-able setup. I can put it back stock in a couple hours for smog or just for doing weekend racing. Throw it on Friday and go racing. It's quick and easy.
I had my turbo, manifold, DP, and IC removed within 20 minutes when I took mine off...
what happens when a cop notices how loud and riduclous your car sounds and looks to see if youve added an aftermarket exhaust?
