So, for my upcoming build I am going to want an EGT gauge. Anybody have experiences or recommendations on which gauge to get? I was looking at the Greddy one but I would like to see the temps in Fahrenheit. My other gauges are 52mm so I would wanna stick with that.

Build a circuit to feed a k-type signal to your MS. You don't need to look at EGT all the time.

 

I like the idea of having an alarm if it goes over a certain amount. From what I've been reading, rising EGT's are a very early indication of something going wrong. The first thing that comes to mind is a failed/failing water injection system.

 

i had prosports in my evo i loved them. also an old DSM trick is EGT's will spike with knock and also based on ignition timing. and like someone else said the water injection will lower egts significantly which is

 

Knock sensor will tell you about failed WI *way* before an EGT gauge will.

 

Failed, yes, slowly losing pressure? maybe not.

Please make your own thread. KnocksenseMS is good i hear. I have one just haven't installed it yet.

 

I have a discontinued version of that and it outputs a real-time 0-5V signal that I log using MS. Have my cake and eating it too.
