Default Recommendations on EGT Gauge?

So, for my upcoming build I am going to want an EGT gauge. Anybody have experiences or recommendations on which gauge to get? I was looking at the Greddy one but I would like to see the temps in Fahrenheit. My other gauges are 52mm so I would wanna stick with that.

I love my vgauges.

I don't have an EGT gauge though. Just the dual coolant/oil one.

Hmm, anybody know of an EGT sender that has M18 x 1.5 threads like a lambda sensor?

Hey look at that! It's amazing what you can find with a little searching.

Digital gauge and thermocouple that will fit under the radio in an NA or under the dash if you want it there. It is programmable for an alarm function for overheat and has peak temperature memory. All that for under $50. Plus thermocouple, of course.
Thermometer/Pyrometer For EGT and Process Monitoring [SYL-1812R] - $48.50 : auberins.com, Temperature control solutions for home and industry
K Type Thermocouple (6 ft. cable) English thread [TC-K6] - $6.85 : auberins.com, Temperature control solutions for home and industry

And no, I haven't seen a thermocouple that comes in M18x1.5 yet.

Aha! That's pretty sweet. I would probably end up using it with

Build a circuit to feed a k-type signal to your MS. You don't need to look at EGT all the time.

I like the idea of having an alarm if it goes over a certain amount. From what I've been reading, rising EGT's are a very early indication of something going wrong. The first thing that comes to mind is a failed/failing water injection system.

Knock sensor will tell you about failed WI *way* before an EGT gauge will.

Cool. I didn't realize that you could log it also. That's going to be nice.
