Default RX-8 injector fitment question

http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/impor...s/?itemid=1116

I found those injectors, and just wondered as I know a few members are running them. Do they fit just like the stock injectors do? They look the same, just a different color. Do the electrical connections fit with no issues also?

According to the wiki the numbers line up. http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/fuel-injectors

IanFerrell(spelling lol? Sorry Ian) is using rx8 injectors, they are a complete stock drop in, no modifications. I'd pm him if you have questions.

They drop straight in, though they're very right around the o-ring.

dont you already have injectors?

Looks like over $270 for 4, you can do better with that.

You need these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-EV1...Q5fCarQ5fParts

They will idle better than the injectors you posted above, will be more consistent and provide a lot more headroom. Completely PNP.

I must've looked at the link I originally posted too fast. I thought it was $74.99 for the set of 4 injectors, not by the piece. ****.
I figure, my 460's have been bad luck for me. Time to go with a different style, and I'm thinking something more like the 195500-4450.

I used the yellow RX8 injectors. Plug and play.
I paid like $50 on ebay though.

No you keep the spacer. You don't have the rubber injector to head seal on the RX8 injector on that picture.

If anything the RX8 injectors are slightly longer than the OEM ones.

Go to FIC and ask them for some EV14's. Custom fit to your setup, about $50 a piece. He gave me a military discount ON TOP of that price. I call them up for every car I own.

Not sure why you want a picture, it's in your previous post.

I was just making sure there's not some special injector to head seal that increases the over length of the injector. I didn't explain that original picture very well. I was trying to show the how the difference in injector length is about the same as the thickness of the spacer. So when I put the RX8 injectors in I just had to leave the spacer out and now they fit fine.

they only look shorter by about 2mm.

the amount the pintle sticks out doesn't matter. What matters is how short they are once they are fit into the head/manifold.

it looks like the edge the insulator sits on is about 2mm off.

my guess is the 0.8ms range at ~13.5v. See JasonC SBB's how to find injector dead time post.
