Default Smalest possible inter cooler for 250whp

Hello,

I bought a new bumper, and it has a hole that normally is closed by default bumper.

I was thinking of putting my intercooler there.
The only question is, i want 250whp on a 1.6 (default 115hp
is there a intercooler thats small enough to fit there and supports 250whp?

picture of the bumper

I dont want it below, because that is the place for the rad, and want to keep it like that.

The hole above is normaly closed, so thats why i was thinking of putting my IC there.

I can make it a littlebit bigger, but not too much
Maybe a lower rad so the intercooler fits better would be an option?

or do i really need to put it in the front part down

that hole is good for radiator flow. you'd have to hack **** up behind it to really mount an IC there.

Take the bumper off and look at all the stuff right behind it. Braineack is correct in that there will need to be some surgery done to make it work.

I like the idea but, it's a lot of work when knowing the stock bumper opening is the most ideal spot for a front mount.

The big problem I have with attempting to mount the intercooler up there is that it would be a royal PITA to duct air flow correctly.

The first picture is how I mounted my RX-7 oil cooler. Honestly that is probably aboput the biggest you will be able to go without completely hacking up the body.

If you don't want a big intercooler go to an air/water setup. You could put a small heat exchanger behind that horrible extra bumper hole.

Right, I can see how you'd want to remain a sleeper.

Put on the IC, paint it black, done.

What a bad looking car.

Well besides having the most ugly random hole in your bumper, dont think your going to find an intercooler small enough, or a way to plum it from there. I would suggest if you want a "sleeper" thugged out miata on 24s or what ever is on there get a air to water and leave it all under the hood.

I myself have mine as a FMIC. Also if mine didnt say greddy on the front you would have no idea it was there and even then you have to be bent over on your knees to see it cause its so far inside the bumper.

How about just use meth/water injection. No intercooler needed

Well, from the perspective of a spectator wondering "does this guy know wtf he's doing", it still doesn't make sense. And doriftoring doesn't destroy the fronts ...
