No worries. We are not in the turbo rebuilding business, I just needed to make that clear. In case it is needed, I know lots of other people that do rebuild them. Besides, they'd be better at it than us.

No dyno sheets yet. Tim just ran it on his car for 10 months. He took it off when he sold his turbo kit. We still have the chinacharger that came off of his car. It is in good shape, and for sale if anyone is interested.

Shanghai-Surprise as in, "Surprise! you just bought a piece a crap?"

What is the cost difference with a proper Garrett turbo?

LOL there's always a few of these on every forum, I guess. Proof that people are not born with a sense of humor.

Here's the non-comedic version:

What is the quality and cost differences between the China turbo vs. the Garrett unit it's copying?

You can ask questions, just not ones that have already been answered

I guess the phrase 'you get what you pay for' is still in full effect?

Perhaps Taiwan would be a better place to look for quality knockoffs. Stuff made there are of much higher quality, but the price tag will likely match the better quality.

From what I have posted already, I can tell you it will last at least 10 months with lots of miles. I have the test unit here, you are welcome to purchase it, put another two months of hard driving on it and let us know how it goes....

The BEGI-S kit with a Garrett Turbo will cost about $600 more.

Are your kits CARB certified?

EDIT: NVM I just saw you are only selling the used turbo not the complete kit along with it.

Default Upgrades?

Since this turbo is similar in size to the smaller Garrett, if you decided to upgrade the turbo later will one the larger Garrett's fit the manifold, and the rest of the parts in the kit?

Yes as long as the flanges are the same. Go here and read towards the end of the last page.
