Thats why tandem is so much more difficult. Its not always the cars being faster. Its your lines and techniques also. I used to make top 16 NA all the time. Now I am top 8 because I am that much faster and can take lines that are more difficult. Using your break, ebrake, left foot break are all things you need to be doing to maintain that drift and stay on the other guys *** in tandem. I am a perfect example. I was on the green s14s ***, I got close going to fast. I could have left foot breaked, but I went for my ebrake, which would also be fine. BUT, I missed the dam ebrake and thats why I straightened right there for about 10 ft=loss :(

I will have more vid as the season goes on. Hope fully we can all watch me learn this new set up and progress.

Hey Jeff, decided to throw my two cents here.

I actually think the best guy is the one who runs 4th. He holds the drift longest, most consistently, pulls close to clipping points, has massive smoke. Don't know why he doesn't run tandem.

He did tandem bro. He spun against my teamate Matt for 3rd place. He got 4th for the event.
Forest in the green s14 with the front bumber got 1st and the white 240 got
2nd.

The course is much more technical than the logest drift per say. There were things the jusdges want to be done. If they are not, the longest smokiest drift does not win. That is the difference here. Example, I initiated faster and earlier than the red car..
Dont get me wrong though, he killed it and was very consistent. He is a rad driver, but not know wing the jusdges asked for is a big reason one looks better than another but is not doing the correct thing.

HAHA NICE!..... Not much of a line up out there? it's all 240s. I have to say nice transitions not much corections at all. I do agree that the white 180sx had some major angle (check 4:44 into the clip). So did you have any damage to your wheel lip from the dirt drop after the wall hit? It looked pretty harsh?. But hey keep up the practice you could be the next nick hogan.. I ment tarzan!

Nice drifting! But the music killed it for me. Didn't even want to finish the rest of the video because of it.

These are all privateers. 240sx is a proven formula and cheap. Everyone wants new flashy cars but it's unpossible when you pay for it yourself. I'm sure anyone there would drive anythingv if someone else was footing the bill.

Ben has it there.
The Miata sucks for drift. It can do it, but its not ideal. A 240 is def ideal and affordable to make competetive.

Yeah i know its cheap I had a 89 240sx hatch with redtop in it and it was the cheapest/fastest thing you can get for your money, I was waiting for atleast a hatchi ruko or a FC to be out there. I've even see mustangs at Drift Days

By the way where is that course?

The track is at willow springs. Its the balcony. It has recently been widened and lengthened. Its better now.

There were some FCs and some Z and a couple hatches. They just didnt make it to top16 and top 8

I saw a cresida with a 1jz swap, cut springs, and zip ties holding a lot of it together at a willow springs drift event.

I love cresidas. too bad he did not have the digital cluster in it

well you've got the only car there that's not ugly as hell i'll give you that, i'll also go ahead and say it looks like you're carrying more speed than pretty much everyone else, hell if you got your car a nice alignment you'd probably do really well on a road course! without all the smoke of course
