Help me pick a good muffler
She may be up for sale but I still want the exhaust to sound better. I'm looking for something not too pricey since the girl is preggers and something that still keeps the car pretty loud just a little less raspy. Current setup is 2.5dp with a 3" straight pipe(fake cat) exhaust.
Current look:
I want to keep the same look but just make the thing sound deeper. So either a muffler or resonator...ideas?
I'm thinking about something like this:
Flowmaster Delta Force One Chamber Race Mufflers - summitracing.com

On my Jeep I recently swapped in a Series 40 after my Magnaflow cracked and don't really like the Flowmaster, but it is what I had in the garage at the time and can take a beating over rocks and stuff. The Magnaflow sounded better and seemed to flow better.

Well before this straight pipe setup I had a big *** straight through magnaflow and I hated the sound. The exhaust sound had no character. I want something that sounds good and isn't really quiet

You could try a smaller Magnaflow if you want it to be louder. Or even use just a resonator.
This is a 3" straight-through (Enthuza exhaust) that is much smaller than the one I had on originally. It is whatever size Enthuza uses. It is louder (maybe even a little louder than I really want it) but still not ricey. This is with the hard top on and the windows up so it is louder than it seems. The video is an Adaptronic flat-shift demo.

Borla Pro XS won the muffler shootout from a magazine:
AFM - American Rumble
It got pretty much the same dyno numbers as the Magnaflow and was a little quieter. While it's not WAY ahead of the magnaflow, it did win. I run one and like it a lot.

I'm liking #12577
offset both sides, 2.5" inlet/outlet (since the rest of my exhaust is 2.5) and 90 bux. aside from not being 3" is this the same one you're referring to?

Even though mine is 2 1/2" exhaust all the way back, I still went 3". Upgrade path available, plus it is as open as possible. Offset/offset.

I have an old resonator and held it up to the exhaust earlier and it sounded alright. I just want something to take the rasp out of the sound....loudness I don't mind...annoying rasp...yeah...

I'm trying to decide the same thing. I'm really narrowed down on a round magnaflow with 3" in/out. I can't decide whether to use the 6" can or the 4". Any advice or experience guys?
Thanks
