mazda/nissan-do you have a welder? if you do, try to lay a bead where you trimmed the shelf, it would make me feel a lot better if i was in your shoes...
breaklines, def. needs revisions with that shield, even though it should be easier to re-think the shield rather than make new lines...under normal driving conditions your motor moves quiet a bit, im not sure what would happen to that break line, but id hate to find out while going 50-60MPH
overall, looking good so far...keep up the good work

why lay down a bead on the shelf? there is not much revision in the heat shield because it is already laying pretty close to the exhaust housing and it would be the turbo hitting the line not only the shield

i do still need to find another mounting point, it is a bit wobbly but the brace from the actuator bolt should help stiffen it up

ok well turns out I am going to rotate my compressor housing (yes I have been fighting with my charge pipes for nearly a year and given up) and will just fab up a bracket for the actuator. How much side to side flex can an actuator hold? Or is the actuator's throw a more important factor than the side to side flex due to the wastegate arm (I haven't measured the actuator's throw yet)?
