Ebay Kits?
I know, I will get flamed, probably :gay:
Are these Ebay kits any good? Reliable wise? Just to push like 6psi or so? Would they be any different setup wise then a Greddy kit?

Be prepared to replace half if it...
- The fuel pressure regulator is not rising rate, so your idle and off boost will suck.
- It has an intercooler, but the pipes are going to require lots of fab
- Crappy couplers (not re-enforced)
- Manifold will likely crack quickly
- I'd be surprised if the down-pipe actually fit.

I just met a guy at tonight's miata meet who is running an ebay kit on his 1.6. He had to clock the turbo to get the wastegate to work right and the path he had to take for the IC piping was a bit more twisted than what you could do with a Greddy, and he is running an EMB instead of the crapola FPR that kit comes with but the majority of that kit was in the car and he is at 12 psi and running good. He even runs 100 octane and bumps it to 15 psi. He's had it on for about 1k miles so maybe its too soon to tell but so far its running really strong from what hes told me.

Even so, it's still a piece if you have to pay for "Garbage" parts.
The pictures they now are using to sell the product even show a Vortech FMU and GReddy Type-S BOV. You can see all the fab work on the hotside pipe to make the bend they wanted.
Yeah it works, if you know what you are doing and are willing to do some fab work, but in the end, it won't stand-up to the test of time.

1000$ is steep for that if the bov and fpr are useless, thats another 200$ you need to spend to bring it up to snuff and that makes it as much as a greddy kit if you have a 1.6.
I dont think its junk, but I think 700$ is a better price point if you have to replace parts in the kit just to make it viable. ~200 to replace the parts that suck and ~100 for injectors.

i guess there isnt much i can say about getting the diehard ebay hating club to think agian about the kit. point is, it works, the car is much faster obviously, and i'm happy with it. i also should state that i had all of these parts that werent with the kit sitting around in my garage. i did have to so some work to make everything fit right, but it was by no stretch regrettable. obviously there are different strokes for different folks. the key is having fun with your car.
