I have a 2005 MazdaSpeed MX-5 Miata. I got a Forge Bypass Valve and a boost gauge where do I put the T fitting? Can I cut into the small hose that comes of the Forge Bypass Valve right before it goes into the manifold? I am old (68) and have never had a Turbo. In the 60's and 70's it was mostly small block Chevs I played with had 1 348 the truck motor before the 409 and had 2 4 barrel. But I had a 1958 bug eyed sprite that I loved but for the + ground.

****. I hope i'm still installing Bypass valves when I am 68. Boost gauge should come off one of the lines that goes into the manifold. So inline with the bypass valve should be fine.

 

Is the Forge Bypass Valve a recirculating valve? If not it will not work with a stock ecu. Take some pictures and we can probably help more. I don't know my way around MSM a ton so I can't say off the top of my head.

 

Thanks. It does take me longer to get thinks done. Can't shift it as fast I could a 4 speed. But I wish I had the money for a SuperMiata Whammy Race Engine or at least. I dream of Forged rods and piston. But don't want to have it down that long. Plus 120 fast enuff for me now at my age. But then again can you not always want to go faster. It is the one from BEGI so it works fine

 

Yes, the common location to install a T-fitting for a boost gauge is in the bypass valve's vacuum hose. Both parts require reading boost & vacuum pressures from the intake manifold and it is not always critical which fitting you use.
