Hello guys, I'm very new to this forum. First post actually. I have a simple question. I am wondering if any of these turbos are even viable for forced induction on my 1993 1.6 Miata. And viable I mean boost that's noticeable and or actually obtainable. We had these laying around our garage, so I'm seeing if I could save a few $$$ instead of buying a turbo. The first turbo is from a twin turbo Mitsubishi I think. It's a TD02, I barely can find any info on these suckers. To my knowledge they are too small for the car, but that's just my guess. The other turbo I have is an IHI RHB6 VC22 Turbo, but I feel as if this is way too big for my car. Any input is appreciated!

Of course, but neither of these turbos are janky, rather too small or large, possibly. Both aren't knock off Chinese turbos.

 

ok, but if it's the wrong size, or isn't suited for a miata, it doesn't ultimately matter

 

Well, that was my original question. Are these suitable for Miatas, and or can I use them?

 

one is off some daihatsu diesel and the other is just part of a the name of yet another super weird and uncommon turbo.

No prob. Get a t2 turbo like the rest of the people and be happy

 

T2 or T3 flanged turbos are what 99.99999% of the manifolds and downpipes are made for for the miata. Unless you want to weld together your own manifold, it is best to stick to t2 or t3.
