+1 for doing it with a stick welder. I wish my tig welds looked that good.

Thanks! I guess I'm just a stick welding queen
That said there are a few spots on these parts that can not be welded in another way.

Yes Dirk, almost ready to go, just need to do a bit of lathe work on a few fittings.

Previously I rotated the NB PS oil pipe out of the way by welding on a washer and tapping a new thread the blank hole

Turns out there is an easier way. When making the connecting pipe the pipe is swaged around the bracket. It is possible to rotate it with a bit of force which is a much easier way than the previous solution.

I used a cap head bolt instead of the original hex one as it is easier to tighten.

Default ps oil pipe

Hi,

Rotate the pipe, easy 10 minutes job.
Also a little more room for drilling the oil pan.

Dirk

Just curious Dirk, would it be possible to rotate the PS pipe in position or is it better to use a bench vice?

One of those "where were you the day" moments presenting the 1.8/t2 flanged, track ready, 7016 welded, heavy walled, short tubular manifold.

215 mm overall width means no problems with frame rail

bonus, even the outlet flange I photo traced matches up.

I put together a hardline oil feed from the sender for the people who are not ready for Dirks excellent solution.

So far the most popular kit is for the 1.6 NA, 7 sets shipped

finished off the 60mm stock exhaust tie in downpipe for the t25/t28.

luckily there is enough space by the compressor outlet to keep the stock wastegate bracket positioning

Started working on a 1.6 HKS replacement which is difficult to make given the position of the outlet flange

Do you have a data sheet on these? I'm VERY interested!

I don't have the injectors (on the way) yet but I would be surprised if they come with data sheet as they are standard Ford parts as opposed to modified aftermarket injectors.
What I read is that they are dual cone 25 deg spray pattern which suits 2 intake valves. They are 48.65 mm long so not a straight fit. I will make adapters or fit them without rail spacers.
These links give some info

Those links are the information I was specifically looking for, Thanks! Forgot that Ford uses strange part numbers so I had troubles finding references outside of OEM vendors. You should defiantly keep us updated on your findings when they show up!

finished up a 3 inch t25/t28 downpipe

I am pleased how the transition worked out, it should flow well.

Love the blacksmith fab. Just picked up a TD04 and will be doing something similar to the flowish log on the SAABata.

Thanks Stein, if you need drawings give me a shout. Meanwhile I blacksmithified a t25 setup for a 1.8 NA with a 2.5 inch downpipe.

2,5 inch is about as large as I can make the downpipe and when tying into the stock NA exhaust. Still it should give decent flow.

With 2.5 inch bends clearance is tight for the bottom stud so I notched the flange thickness by 1/8".

i pieced together a setup foir a 1.6 NA which will use a turbo from a Saab.

The 2.5 inch downpipe was tricky to tie into the stock exhaust flange as the turbo outlet is more aft than usual.

Next up NC!

Do you have Inlet and Outlet flange drawings you could send me? I think I have a correct Exhaust flange drawing, but not the Turbine flanges.

I cannot PM you yet, but you could PM me, I would think.

DNM, attached are the files I use for 3bolt Subaru turbos. (The originals are in sketchup and I exported them to .dwg also.)

Meanwhile I made this

and drew a couple of nc flanges

I'm interested to see your NC manifold Sturovo. I suspect that even with a stick welder it will be prettier and better made than this one.
