shut the **** up

No seriously, stop ******* suggesting this because it's totally wrong and you're a retard for even thinking about it. If I were a moderator, I would literally ban people for suggesting Nordlock washers.

All I know is that a ******* mazdaspeed miatas' turbo doesn't come loose every 2000 miles, so mine shouldn't ******* come loose either. I may call my dealership and see what the factory uses to cure this prob... (and no i'm not paying 100 dollars for a fastener/stud assembly.

I've had good luck with 17-4 stainless studs with castle locking stainless nuts.

Cody,

Which studs and nuts did you use?
Are they loosening at the track or street?
Did you tighten the studs into the mani?
Did you retorque the nuts after a few street heat cycles?

yep i've done all that you said. Torque the studs into the manifold and no telling how many times I have retightened them. I'm going to look into the 8mm fm solution. if I have to drill and re-tap my assembly for 8mm fasteners, i'll do just that

Yah what do oems use for their turboes? Why do the audi and subie and srt4 turoboes not fall off on te streets everywhere? Why are the turbie studs we put in not secure? What have the protoges with turboes done? How does porche do it?

Would it really be the bad thing if I tack weld my turboe to my manifold? Assuming it is fitting why would this be bad? Seriusly guyz.

For one, I think the srt4 has its turbine housing cast onto the turbo manifold. So it is impossible to fall off.
As for the others, I dunno.

Do you have the factory MSM brace under the turbo that attaches to the motor mount?
