AN sizing only references the OD though yeah? When really I'm asking for the ID of the hose or the OD of the nipples on the car...

I think -4 is 5/16", -3 is 1/4"...that's off the top of my head. I'm positive -6 is 3/8" so I just scaled down. I custom did my lines in all braided with no barbed fittings, so I can only compare.

1/16' = -1AN, so -4 is 1/4", -6 is 3/8", -8 is 1/2", etc. All the way up to -20AN which is 1 1/4".

I've typically used -6AN for water lines, but that's only because M14x1.5 to -4AN fittings can be hard to find. -4AN or -6AN is fine.

Mick,

In my experience hose with an 8mm internal diameter is a good fit. I use steel braided hose with crimped banjo connectors on one end and and hose clamps on the other.

Hmmm I never even thought about what size my lines were... I got Artech's SS oil/water lines. Anyone know off hand what size these are?
