How do you join this forum in 08 and not read ANYTHING on it?

While I think automotive forums are great places to meet people who share similar interests... I'm here to learn, not to be your friend, so I believe I'll stay. I'll just try and wade through any of your posts that are worthless (such as this one) to find the informative ones. You seem to have been here for quite some time, and with a post count like that, I'm sure you have many valuable posts and I'm sure there's a lot I could learn from them. Thanks for the warm welcome though!

I haven't owned a Miata since '08. I'm purchasing one this week, and so here I am! And I'm not sure where you got the idea I haven't read anything on this forum... not posting does not equal not reading. I've been on my fair share of automotive forums and while I understand the frustration that comes from questions such as these... I just thought the responses were all a little over the top. That's all!

We need a newbie area with all the links there in a "for dummies" format.. where people have information spoonfed to them... wait we do... and you missed it as this is your first thread to post in.

+1 - it's a lot of information, but take the time. It really does get you through everything you need to know.

I i only joined the other day... what is it with everyone's lack of respect on here?

you join a forum to learn and to meet new people, and i get hounded by everyone.

if this is what its like for anyone who joins, then good luck to you all.

i might just get the F*ck out as i'm clearly not going to get anything from this forum

but thanks to the people who have taken to time to help me, My apologies for my grammar and spelling im dyslexic

cheers.

The issue is people come in here asking the same questions quite often instead of searching and then asking a more intelligent question later, which would be fine.

The force is weak in this one, toss him in the pit.

An excellent answer was given (post #2), what is wrong with that? Do you want to be spoon fed?

Bottom line: this forum is extremely helpful, and all of us "meanies" actually go out of our ways to help those that want to make their miatas fast.
But when someone is as ignorant and lazy as OP and asks one of the top 10 stupidest questions you can possibly come up with on a miata turbo forum, you can bet he'll be getting sarcastic replies.

cliff notes: we don't spoon feed.

We expect less talking and more learning.

Feel free to ask away, but be sure to take the time to search before you speak.

If you do ask a question, at least take the time to write a halfway intelligent post and it'll get treated with more respect next time.

Eventually post up some progress pics of your build and you'll become one of us.
