Default Turbo housing color

Don't they always look dark brown? Why is this silver? Is it the flash? I know it's a STOOPID question. LOlsz.

Not this:

Ceramic coated? All the untreated turbines I have seen are brown, but VHT flameproof seems to hold up well (don't know if they make silver) and ceramic coating could do that too.

I agree, looks like it's ceramic coated.

They actually start out a dark gray (not sure if it's paint or just the natural color of the cast iron before it's oxidized), they turn brown as they age and rust.

I agree that a different color is probably a result of ceramic coating. I've seen silver and black.
