No, and neither are your injectors.

Forget about making 300whp on a 1.6, unless you plan to fully build the motor, do head-work, and run 20psi of boost. If this is a stock 1.6, you really want to limit your power goals below 250whp. A healthy stock 1.6 with an efficient setup can make 250whp at about 15psi on a GT2560 with an acceptable lifespan... but it's not going to last over that amount.

If you're looking to make that much power, a 1.8 upgrade is the easiest... and using a 99-00 swap would be the best choice unless you plan on buying an ECU that will control VVT.

The minimum PnP injector to run 300whp are the RX7 550's. Most would say for the sake of duty cycle, to go with the Deutchworks (I think they have some in the 600cc range).

Not having a cat helps power, but for that goal, it had better be a full 3". An efficient tubular manifold and 3" downpipe help.

If you insist on trying for 300whp on a stock 1.6 and using a T2 flange, then check the ATP website. The GT2876 I believe comes stock in T2 flange, but I also think they have a custom turbine housing for the GT30 series that is T2 flanged.

Basically, you're way over your head with that power goal. Have you upgraded the stock dif? Will your clutch handle 250ftlbs? Does your ECU have the capability/fidelity to manage fuel/spark for that power?

hey everyone i appreciate it im hoping to eventually get to 300 but i think 250-260 would be great for now. im planning on doing a motor swap once i have a chance. im basically just trying to buy one more turbo that will do everything i can ask for even eventually.

Engine
Built 1.8 (ditch the 1.6)
Head work

I think a 2860 will get you to that range confortably.

I see a lot of 2860 FS all the time, **** not long ago I was selling mine lol. Check the FS section as well as the scca forum FS section.

Now that Sam is done holding your hand you owe him BJ, or we'll settle for naked pics of your GF/wife.

Have you even driven a Miata with 200whp?

lol you guys have no faith in the 1.6 just for that im nvr gonna forsake mine. Wait for it i might take awhile getting it all done but a drool worthy 1.6 will emerge lol. They are just as strong as the 1.8 they are just missing 200 cc's lol. Hell look what motorworx did with his 1.6 i find that impressive. And on that note the 2860 or 2871 will do you fine but if you realy want 300 someodd at some point a 3071 or 3271 is the way to go.

i have a lot of faith in the 1.6 as well. i think it will hold 300whp with a spot on tune for long enough for me to get sick of it. however the stock diff, tranny, clutch, and oil pump will not last at all with a 300hp 1.6l.
if u want something thats gonna last forever and make 300hp you should put some eagle rods in it but keep the cast pistons, just make sure the tune is spot on. also in my opinion a stock type head gasket is like a shear pin kinda it will fail and save the rest of your motor, also the stock head gaskets dont really have any problems holding up.

When you hit 300whp things start to break $$$. When you replace things like injectors, pistons, and harmonic balancer, you might as well reach for a higher power goal. Thats how I look at it with my car. Keeping it under 250hp until I fully commit to a project.

i am currently running ~14psi from a t25. Its only .48ar comp and .49ar turbine. I think i am getting roughly 185-200hp and am at the upper end of my turbos range. What is the strongest transmission that i can get that will bri(bolt right in). And when i get some pics of my gf ill hook you guys up haha

Really??? So what youre saying is.. Dismantle the engine and upgrade the rods ONLY. That is a receipe for failure, besides $350ish for low compression forged pistons is worth every penny when it comes to relaibility with high power.

Conclusion, if youre building the engine please upgrade all the components.
