Default Unboxing my ChinaCharger

FedEx just arrived leaving me with my nifty new chinacharger - no shaft play, spins well, fit n finish looks good. Next I will take it apart and inspect it all.

Double boxed - Good to see that

SR20 18G (T05 18G)

Came with extras

Are the second two images not working for anyone else?

Have you verified dp flange fitment?

I re linked the images but they are still not showing - no biggie just pictures of the double box and warning sticker

Yes dp flange alignment is right on. I was worried about that!

impressive. Is this going on a known Garrett flange? Like something from Abe, FM, or Begi?

Us, he means. Tempted to order this, but at $400, I may as well go for a genuine turbo.

at that price I would not have bought one either - however from this same seller I bought a GT28 for 269 free shipping. he was out of stock so asked if he could send this instead @ the 269 price...

I'm glad to see it's a Godspeed, and even happier that it's journal bearing. If this was a china ball bearing unit, I would say "enjoy your first 200 miles, cause they're going to be your last 200 miles".

Seems to be a consensus that Godspeed - journal bearing is the way to go when attempting a cheap chinacharger. = This noob searched!!

It looks like you are going under the lights with the inter-cooler piping? I haven't seen too many like this but it made sense to me also.

Hey guys, I am currently running a JRSC M45 and am thinking about going turbo. This is a link to a Godspeed on Amazon, is it junk?
Amazon Amazon

I have a OBX header that seemed to be of good quality, could the same be said for their turbo manifold?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Racing-T...item1e6b1d1b9e

I notice that some of the (Greddy) have the oulet horizontal vs this one being at an angle. What difference does this make in deciding what turbo to buy and differences in installation?

Any and all thoughts and help on this stuff is appreciated.

The turbo looks fine, no promises on the dp flange fitting, but it looks fine. The manifold is junk. The difference between a header and a manifold is the manifold needs to support the weight of the turbo, so the design needs to be better and stronger than a cheap header.

took me long enough but the turbo is in the car. Sorry fro the crappy pictures it was dark out when I took them with my phone. Ignore the funky oil feed line, I could not use my origional setup due to different threads so I came up with this for a temp solution.

DP fit fit perfect!!
