How much boost/torque? Pinging issues? WI?


What is the record torque and HP for a stock VVT motor, at 91 octane?
With or without WI?

What is the record # of miles with a turbo? What boost / torque / octane?

 

Their might be five tubo'd VVT motors on this board, and they've all posted their info many times.

y8s, jaymx5, probably a couple others too. They're's also a "how much power on stock internals" thread somewhere too. I think there's two actually.

2/3 on 91 gas I think.

I get some slight pings if I advance the timing too much, but generally it's fine.

how much torque did you make on 91?

 

slight pings on 93. never did a dyno run on 91 I dont think... at least not above 4 psi or with the hydra.

 

running about 11psi on 93 octane with occasional pings depends how much load is on the engine. also use WI which helps out. dyno done with decent/all right tune on 10psi 228hp and i think 210 torque.
