Default waste gate actuator question

how lined up does the waste gate actuator (mounted to the compresor section) need to be in relation to the waste gate leaver on the exhaust housing? will having it a little to one side affect the operation of the WG?

while not an expert on the subject, i feel that it should completely line up other wise exhaust will blow by and you may experience additional lag...if that makes sense

as long as it can push the swingarm open closed without effort it dont see if it's not perfectly true/plumb/level/straight across that it would matter.

Braineack, heres a question. If I wasn't planning on running more then 8psi at first, would it be safe to just wire the actuator signal into the hot side without a MBC? I have a Nissan T25 and I think the actuators default is 8psi.

very confusing question....

boost source straight into actuator is perfectly acceptable, if the actuator is in fact an 8psi can.

Most OEMs run either direct-source or through an EBC. I'd be surprised to hear about an OEM using an MBC; they would rather just put the proper spring into the actuator in the first place.

MBCs are a bandaid, really.
