Default Wastegate Rod - DIY Adjustable or Bend It

Opinions on what's better?

1) Bending the rod to make it fit to the flapper?

or

2) Cutting the arm in half, threading it, and having adjustability?

3) clock the turbo slightly until it lines up properly.

Yeah. Just cut the rod, put it in a vise, and used a cheap Harbor Freight 1/4-20 external die. A pair of couplers, some jam nuts, and a piece of 1/4-20 threaded rod and I have an infinitely adjustable WG arm.
