Default What a pain

The last couple of weeks I have really began to hate my car. A month ago it was the rear end, then the cam seals, then the valve cover seal. Now the stupid intake I had came apart and shot into the turbo. Has anyone ever heard of an intake filter coming apart and shooting into the turbo?? All i want to do is drive the damn car!!!

Were you using a sponge type filter?

I had the sponge type HKS look-a-like on my setup for a couple years. I was always worried about that happening. That's why this time around I'm going with a K&N.

There's been talk about it before. I think it might have happened to someone else here or m.net.

Sorry to hear that man, hang in there. I feel the same way sometimes, but then I try to think that its only just a car.....I could have no legs.

Be strong and take a deep breath. I need to replace my cam seals as well. Hows the turbo looking?

I've seen a procharged Vette suck a 6" diameter K&N inside out, then eat the filter.... Never a turbo though.

After taking the intake off, the piece of the filter some how stayed together and was just stopping the turbo from spinning. Now I just need a new intake. Note to self NEVER buy anything from APC.

Make sure to use a nice coupler. I had a Big 16g suck up a Home Depot coupler once, wasn't pretty.
