Brain won't be easily swayed by money. His collection of cat pictures is worth millions.

Damn it all, HOW WILL I SWAY HIM!?

I have the list of parts I'm going to buy. I just really want to make sure I can't buy Brain's stuff.

I bought my whole exhaust from a local guy. It is some JDm header with a flex pipe, has a JASMA stamp. Looks like a HKS something. Should go for a decent amount.

Turbo shopping spree goes down sunday!
From the sound of it, your header is a Maxim Works. Depending upon who you talk to, they are considered to be the best. There is one for a NB1 on another forum right now, asking price is $750.

Just some quick updates.

The header is a HKS super header for the 1.6l and it will be sold post haste.

Also, the tacotaco plan is out. I was able to shower Brain in money/cat pictures and convince him to sell me his turbo set up. Very excited.

Winning! I've often wondered what that T3 would do on a 1.8

In all honesty, the 1.6 is so stupid cheap I don't think I will go to 1.8 engine. I know its dumb, and its the same reasoning why I first went with a supercharger, but I just don't see the need (as of right now)

I can pick up a 1.6 engine for around $300, slap it in and go. If I go 1.8. I would want to build it.

Did Brain make you say these things as a condition of the sale?

The money was cute, but the cats won me over:

INB4 1.8 swap. I almost turbo'd my 1.6, then I manned up and did the 1.8 swap.

What I may have done differently is slapped a turbo kit on the 1.6 to tie me over, built my 1.8 in the meantime and slapped a bigger turbo on it. Then sold all the 1.6 stuff after.

Turbo parts are finally here! Took some time because of the Thankgiving holiday but it is here! Hats off to Brain for being such an awesome guy. I have never received parts in such a fantastic way. I was shocked at how well the parts were packed and cleaned.

Thanks Brain!

Christmas early

The Chrubo

I finish school this week which will give me time to put in the turbo. Will happen sooner than I had planned (pretty awesome). Gonna tap the pan next week if everything goes according to plan.

Also, I found a 1.6 with 145k miles on it for $150 bucks. Needless to say, probably gonna pick it up.
