Default Xede + 550's

I put the Xede and RC 550's in today. The car started right up and idles very well. The LC1 will be going in soon too, and the walbro will go in this weekend.

Already making my beat *** clutch slip, I need to install my CenterForce DF Clutch soon.

So over all for a piggyback im very impressed. The car drives really well with whatever map stephanie preloaded on for me. The Dyno will be fun.

Doesn't the Xede cost as much as a standalone anyway? I would hope you're somewhat impressed for that price

It's actually pretty damn good as far as a piggy goes. I hate piggy's but even I was impressed with the Xede... although the Haltech Interceptor is the same thing it appears. Haltech has come out with a new one that I think BEGi will carry as soon as Chip Tech works it's magic on it.

When the Chip Torque guys were here a few weeks ago, we heard there was some shake up going on at Haltech. The Haltech and Xede are not the same internally though...

I'm not a fan of haltech. I had an E6x malfunction on me and catch fire. I smelled some weird circuit board smell, then my car died. Looked behind my seat and there were black smoke marks on the side of the E6. I told haltech all about it, and they were more than happy to reimburse me for my ECU, and shipping.

The plug/play harness is nice too. Besides, I'm trying to fly under the radar here in CA with a CARB legal FMI/BEGI 4.2. and need to retain the MAF.

Finishing the install now - I'll let you know how things are going when I get it done and sorted out. Also, it'll be nice to see a few more guys w/94-97s to compare maps to.
