Default Yet another "will this intercooler fit?" thread.

So, i have the begi s1, which means that this should probably be in the prefab section but oh well. Because i have the begi s1, that means i have 27" between the inlet and outlet on the intercooler replacement tube. I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on the bell intercooler. Maybe if i was running huge boost, i would go with a higher quality but eBay is good for now.
I could cut a section of the intercooler replacement tube and use another coupler but, i would like to avoid that. Therefore, i really wanna stick with an intercooler that is 27" inlet to outlet. So, now that i have tried two different intercoolers, i want to make sure that this will fit.

From endtank-to-endtank, 27"? Should fit. My core is 22" so figuring another 3" or so per side for endtanks, 28" total. Wanting to keep AC?

Probably. You could have the drier moved though.

Correct me if im wrong but, i was thinking that it would go under the drier and not interfere at all. I mean, only 5.5" tall...

I believe anything under 6" fits under the dryer.

you know what's an easy test:

spending 5 minutes to cut the shape out in cardboard and shoving it into your grill and finding out for yourself.

I still regret not measuring for myself and just getting the 18x12x3 like everyone else.

Well - it COULD become a cardboard cutout of an intercooler . .

and, it IS easy to make a little move for the A/C stuff.

I went with the 28" IC rather than the smaller width/taller height that most are using to allow for a little more of the radiator to get incoming air. Both have the same amount of air capabilities, just a little hose/pipe routing differences.

Okay, so it will fit, but, is it big enough for me to run my gt2860rs at 12psi? The 2.5" thick core kind of scares me.

I too went with the 28x7 IC, but my drier is big time in the way. How / where did you move it to?
