anybody?

so my dad brings i brought my dads F-150 and he brought my stepmothers tracker up to my place to get the oil in them changed and when i was changing the oil in her Chevy tracker i noticed somthing! this is what i saw! and immediately though coolant reroute part!

this is a 2003 Chevrolet Tracker if anybody wants to snag this part to use in there coolant reroute they plan on doing? im gonna head to teh junk yard here in the next few day to scavenge for one!

what do yall think?

There are many other cars that have this type of **** on them. And a chevy tracker isn't exactly the most common car to find at a pick n pull.
Not a bad idea though

you just figured this out!

i saw it and thought i would share! so this is one car on the list of cars, anybody know of any other cars! before i saw this i was gonna end up using some steel pluming pipe from home depot that has the treaded ends on them but now that i saw this i know what ill be uning!

Yeah...home depot is much easier, but that is an interesting piece.

May be worth it if it's just right since you could use cheap straight pieces of hose instead of the $22!!! Gates specialty ones listed in the Mike's Place videos.

are the ends of it flared?

is it steel, aluminum or stainless?

Only the one end is flared. Can't remember what it's made out of though don't think it's alum. I got the idea from this thread https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t43269/

take a magnet to it! if its not aluminum and the magnet doesnt stick then its gotta be stainless.......what section of home depot did you get it out of?

Did a google search and it says 1 1/2 brass. I got it from the plumbing section at lowes
