How much boost?

Also, you need cams.

Is that a GT2871 or a china-2870? How much boost? Any headwork?

Not trying to be douche but from the chart, i'd say china2870. It really seams people are not having great results with them power wise.

Boost level will determine whether its good or not.
its a china 28
I don't think its bad at all.

He's holding power and almost all torque to redline.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying there is anything wrong with them. I think they are great alternative. But the numbers (on some setups) are low compared to other brand turbos at around the same psi.

He said he was "disapointed", so that was just my guess.

EDIT: Miataspeed, I just watched the video of you on the dyno....sounds like sex

Yeah it's a china... My data log says 17.5 psi but my bossy gauge said 14.5 psi and my wastegate is a 14psi one, so I don't know if my map censor is off or my boost gauge.

Yeah I know what you mean. I don't know if its the specs, or if the bearings are somehow "slowing down" the wheels, or whatever it is. But hey if you can make 80% of the brand name power for less than half the cost, I don't see a problem

Cams and an intake mani would help, also didnt see you mention if you have stock or over sized valves.

If it is only 14.5psi that is actually not to bad at all on a 1.6.

You're right at the limit of being reliable on that stock longblock. I don't know why you'd be disappointed.

Now for the love of all that is holy, CAN YOU PLEASE FLIP THAT ******* PICTURE SO I DON'T HAVE TO TILT MY HEAD?

you're over 200rwtq from 4.5 to 6.5K on a 1.6L...not too shabby for a stock block. It's improved from your dyno run on your 19T setup during our dyno day, but you pretty much reached the limits of the stock parts...you need headwork and at least an IM to really make anymore power, the stock IM really starts to choke up with higher boost levels.

I'm going back on Tuesday night to do more dyno tuning for free, so hopefully I can get the car dialed in perfect. We are also going to try a different boost gauge to see if the preassure is right on the gauge or map censor

Cant be 17psi. I made 270 at 17 psi on a Mustang dyno with that same turbo.

As Sav always says, dyno sheets starting at 4k make baby Jesus cry.

But like they all said not bad torque for a 1.6. Definitely needs an IM though.
