Default Braineack's 12psi dyno results 12/28/06

just shy of what I thought it would make...all in all I'm very pleased with the torque curve. I need a larger exhaust obviously!

RX7 VS OEM AFM.....

RX7 LOST POWER AT 12PSI!!!!

So, brain, you didn't say in the other thread, are you going to go MS next year? I'd expect another 20hp.

I too agree there is some power to be had 5700 or so, looks like it got REAL rich. Get it back around 12 or 11.5 and i would imagine 215 or so could be had.
Good job!

That's what happens when you use the OEM ECU, no way to tune out the top-end AFR.

Yes, I'd expect fairly big gains from a 3.0" over this 2.25".

and yes, this summer I'll tackle MS after I do a new rear.

The only way you could tune it out is with an Emanage when using the OEM ECU. MS will, of course do it, and your attempt at reducing fuel pressure at the top end would work; if you could make it happen.

Even with the smaller injectors, my AFR dropped at the top. I could probably pull fuel with the airflow adjustment map, but it would only be to prove the point. I never drive like on the dyno. Who does?

Brad's finally making some good power too...however having the same problem keeping the wastegate under control without a helper spring....

Compared to Olderguy's 1st run last summer:

Good numbers. I'm a bit surprised that the T3 didn't make more power at 12psi even with a 2.5" exhaust. It looks like the torque curve starts dropping off a little earlier than usual, were you holding 12 psi to redline or was the boost dropping a little?

You'd think the rx7 meter would have leaned out that top end some.
Where do you hit 12psi? Your power curve has a nice rise and then flattens with the torque curve- think that's the exhaust?

no, my logs show it being the exact same...it's just the nature of the ecu using an internal map and I'm using 305cc injectors.

I hit 12psi at around 4.2k.

I really think the exhaust is a bottle-neck that's limiting my full potential....but seriously...I'm happy with the numbers....

I have torque envy. All of you (OG, NBS, B) have sick torque curves.
