I have tq just as you do.

Probably just go to home depot buy some pvc and match the ends I need with soem caps and make a hole to thread a fitting into and pressurize the piping.

You have the idea... find a cap that fits inside the turbo inlet coupler.
Hit the tool isle and pick up a cheap inline regulator w/gauge..

I just remembered, aren't you massively retarding one of your cams to boost low end torque?

That'll kill top end rather nicely.

FYI, just for comparison... My 60 trim T3 at 20psi, 430cc injectors at 95% duty, 1.6L... I'm going back to a 50 trim for the street car.

genesplicer is that 1:1 gear and can you change it to repersent speed vs time instead in the graph?

Whoah, whoah, whoah........explain please. I believe I have my intake cam retarded by 7 degrees, but it didn't kill top end power. I think we adjusted it to the point where it was about to have a negative impact on top end, but didn't.

What's considered massively retarded timing? Maybe I need to revisit this.

This thread.

I gained in top end compared to last time. both at stock wastegate pressures.

5 degrees advanced cam timing using stock intake cam pulley

GeneSplicer 06-26-2012 10:25 PM

1:1 yes, 3.9R&P, I'd have to get my tuner to re-save it with speed vs time for you. I'll try giving him a shout tomorrow.

I was thinking your top end was falling off once you hit 12* and that 7-8* was the sweet spot.

Here is two images
one is 3rd vs 4th gear on the dyno
the other is a comparsion between wastegate pressure on old cam timing and setup vs advanced 5 degrees and new setup.

4th gear are the ones that start sooner, it drops off because of clutch slipping.
3rd is the one that starts later.

stock cam timing is blue
advanced is red
green is trying to add more igintion timing at where the power drops out, but I think that issue is intake design.
