Is that bigger or smaller than my TD04? If it's a little smaller then don't expect high numbers, but don't "run away from it like the plague". If it's a little bigger, then no worries, my TD04 is already considered a little small.

I've seen decent numbers from crappier setups OP, you just need to take some time to figure it out. With what you have you'd just need to fab up an intercooler to make it work. Only issue I see is that the ebay manifold might crack, although you said you bought an FM3 unit? And of course the 10-12psi is a little high for a AFPR. You can either turn the boost down or get a MegaSquirt, but in that case you need bigger injectors for 10-12 psi.

thanks again curly.... (with all the stuff i got.. what else am i missing to make it work? and how much more money do i need?)
(also there's a guy selling a MSM intercooler... will that work with my turbro setup??)
i got the TD05 (sm) 16.... something like that..
but i decide to sell all the stuff i got for the turbo
i also got the begi afpr and the supra injectors...
and i already post it on sale...
thanks for your infor...

You can always retract your for sale thread, or take out the bits you wanna save. From what you have, you're fine. I'd highly recommend a AFR gauge. You don't even have to plumb in the fuel pressure gauge, although once you have the AFR gauge, if you can't get it to read anything but lean, the pressure gauge can tell you if its the pump that's the problem.

So, install everything you have and:

0. AEM wideband - $240
1. turn your timing down to 8* - free
2. plumb the turbo over to the throttle body - free with some ingenuity.
3. drill/tap pan for oil drain - ~$50 (don't use hose barbs and rubber hose)
4. oil feed line - $25

After that, you can intercooler when you have the time/money, just keep a super close eye on afr. Put zip ties around the accordion section of the stock intake to keep it from ballooning.

After that, MS with bigger injectors, and you'll be set.

hey curly,
AEM wideband..
this is it:

oil feed line...
this is it:

http://www.godspeednet.com/servlet/t...ED-LINE/Detail

so, running at 7-8 psi... i dont need the intercooler for now??

thanks

18psi 03-29-2011 12:51 PM

more like 5-6.

charlie7337 03-29-2011 01:10 PM

so, if 5-6 psi...
how much more HP am i looking at?
and will it be running without any problem?

thanks

curly 03-29-2011 08:00 PM

More or less, yes. It will tend to heat soak the intake more, and obviously that's not quite as safe and robbing you of horsepower. This is another reason you'll want the wideband, and yes that's the correct one you linked, good deal.

I'm not real sure about the oil feed, I don't think it's right.

charlie7337 03-29-2011 08:12 PM

now, if i get these stuff:

5. starion intercooler $50

6. jim b's intercooler pipes $50

will it make it better? and are those good stuff? and good prices?

and do i still need the wideband... or i will always need the wideband no matter what... i have to buy it??

curly 03-29-2011 08:21 PM

You have to buy it. Even for NA MS tuning.

charlie7337 03-29-2011 08:27 PM

how about the intercooler and pipes...
are those any good?

curly 03-29-2011 09:10 PM

Search, very common question. When did jimB become typable?

MartinezA92 03-29-2011 09:24 PM

Most of the questions you're asking could have easily been covered if you searched. Don't be lazy.

charlie7337 03-29-2011 10:56 PM

Ok guys. Thanks for the help. Time to do some searching.
