Not sure what the deal was with that. Disconnected everything, then reconnected. red 12v switched, white to chassis, black to sensor ground, green to volt meter. Meter between green and chassis ground is back to the same results. Power up is actually 1.64, 3.32, then 4.98 and then stays at 4.95 measured to the black ground point (electronics ground). NB output never moves off from 0.00vdc during boot up or running. revs, tip in, etc no change to either reading.

Yup, no changes. With the spare sensor it just sits at 2.88v regardless of butane, MAP or Oxy.Acetylene gases. Interestingly, I bought mine together on 9/18/18, right after that other guy posted his issue. Perhaps they had a bad batch?

Spoke with Alan @ 14point7. He is sending out a pair of replacement sensors & controllers, so we shall see when they arrive. I'll test both sets with lighter gas and hopefully they work without issue.
