pretty sure on a 2554 you can just weld the wastegate shut and still not blow up a stock motor.

the DIY map for 99-00 is for a supercharged car so I thought it was pretty worthless. Their 1.6L basemap is for a GT2560 turbo car though.... yeah it's a 1.6 but its probably a decent starting point, and if anything will be plenty safe for 99 motor.

Here is what i ran on my 99 stock motor... based off of the above one if you can't tell

think i actually set the idle cells all to 13 though. can you post up what youre running now?

I'm at 6 psi right now. From other maps i've seen people run 15 degrees at 180kpa. +19 is A LOT over those. at 140kpa i'm at 22 degrees at 160 i'm at 17-18 however currently the max i've seen my map hit is 145ish which is about 6.5 psi. Arent 99s higher compression ratio than 1.6 too?

Aaron how many psi did u use that map up to?

14 or so on a 2871.

99 static compression ratio is .5 higher or whatever, but once you factor in the 99 00 cams, the effective compression ratio is basically identical. I bet that DIY map for 1.6 would work quite well, as long s you don't have any huge bottlenecks in your exhaust/intake.

Apperently the saturn was running on 16 psi with a full exhaust. Hmm.

Glad I found this thread, looking for a good start point for my car (stock s13 t25 on a 99 engine).

I vote for the 1.6 map.

Looks alot like what i ended up with on my 99 after dyno-tuning.

Hey Jason do you happen to still have your whole map and will you share it? I just installed the FMII kit with the 2560 on my stock internals 99. I have tried running a map similar to that DIY 1.6 map and also a map similar to the 99 supercharged map with 10-11 psi and something seems off. It just doesn't seem very fast. I am set up with stock exhaust currently though. Maybe that drains lots of power? I didnt figure it would make that much of a difference.

I can tell you that stock exhaust is going to suffocate the setup. I've seen cars dyno 40+ higher going from 2" to 3". Stock pipe is a huge bottleneck.

......This information pleases me......and makes me more motivated to buy a hack saw.....or exhaust. Btw I tried aaroc's second table up there. The modified 1.6 DIY table. Bumped up to 12 psi. Much better.

As a point of reference, I found the DIY 1.8 map to be very conservative. I went to another spark map and found a huge jump in power.

Sorry, my map is setup for n/a right now, not much help to you. I should have my boosted map done in a little while.

I do intend to post when I get it sorted.
