Default 90-93 MS3 Pro PNP questions

I've decided to make the jump from my basic Haltech ECU to a MS3Pro. My Haltech lacks A/C control and knock sensor input and the MS just offered more functions for a good price. I have a few questions regarding initial setup with a VTPS as well as a few other inputs. I'm purchasing a MS3Pro PNP.

Right now the car is a 1990, AFM removed, I have the fuel pump wires for the AFM wired together, AIT wires from the AFM are separated. I'm using a BMW TPS sensor.

Will I have to open the MS system up and jump the board for a VTPS as stated in the install guide on their site? Or am I able to just run it with the BMW TPS as is and it still see a variable signal? I have searched around for images of an MS3 system with the board jumped but haven't had luck. Some posts on here say swap wires, others mention jumping pins on the board.

I would also like for the MS to control cooling fans, will the board need to be wired for that?

Basically I just need to know if I'm going to have to rewire this thing before I go to install it. The install guide seems simple but doesn't say if that guide is for every type of MS ECU. It seemed like an old write up. Any input is appreciated.

I think you are getting confused by the different MS variants available.
If you are getting a 9093 MS3Pro PnP Plug and Play then just follow the below guide, it's all in there.

That link you posted is the write up I was referring to in my post. All my questions are based off of that.

You are confusing 2 different issues.
1. Yes you will need to install the jumper for VTPS.
2. Modifications to the wiring harness are required to get the signal, power and gnd wires on the correct pins on the ECU from the harness. This is TPS and ECU specific. I dont know the BMW or MS3pro pin-outs of the top of my head to help you there. But since you are using the BMW and therefor have to hack a connector in, all those changes can be make in the harness in that connector splice at the throttle body.

Ben, I wasn't sure if the install instructions were generic for all MS systems regardless of board setup or specific for the MS3Pro PNP. I called DIY and talked with tech support who cleared everything up. I told them that I will take pictures of the steps for configuring the VTPS on the board for their install instructions which thet agreed are somewhat vague for first time MS installers. I will do the same for configuring sequential ignition/injection and fan control.

Thanks for taking the time to respond and try to answer my questions.
