Cobb Accessport for Miata?
So a thought crossed my mind this morning, I wish we had something like Cobb's Accessport for our cars. I went on Live Chat with Cobb and spoke with a very nice chat rep who also happens to drive an 02 Miata! He even said that one of the engineers there has an SCCA prepped NA. Unfortunately he informed me that they've been hoping for Miata products for a long time and have pushed the issue, but Cobb is really trying to focus on stock turbo cars. I'm just wondering if there really would be enough interest. I just feel like, despite the age of our cars, they are still very popular and huge in racing today. Perhaps if we can show them enough interest we could get them to reconsider? Or is there another similar or better option out there?
*edit* /\ He beat me to it.
Because megasquirt does 10x as much for 1/2 the money.
Even the subaru/evo community is ridding themselves of these pointless gameboys and switching to opensource.
They are retarded and overpriced.

Yeah, why in gods name would anyone run an accessport? We have an abundance of reasonable priced standalone ECUs.
Edit: if you check out clubricer you might find some people interested.

im interested in AP because im building the car for SCCA STR rules and everyone seems to be going with dptune which i hear is good but kind of a hassle. i kind of figured the folks here would prefer a standalone system, but wanted to post it up anyway
NB, i've heard of this and am kind of surprised that it's being done. really doesn't sound like the spirit of the rule?
the nice thing about AP is that i can store multiple maps and easily change between them
