Default Knock sensor mystery. It works but it doesn't

Hello to all, quick question about what to do... I have a LINK ECU, and was doing some timing tuning, and was checking the knock reading... I did a baseline pull, and the sensor read ZERO all the way... That made me wonder that maybe the sensor had gone bad, so the tuning was not done that day...

I pulled the knock sensor, and tapped it looking at the screen and saw the sensor pick up the noise and register it on the LINK keypad, so it does work...

Screwed it back in and raised the timing a bit to see if some noise started to show but nothing.. I find it hard to believe the my engine is sooo quiet that there is nothing showing, my next assuption is that the sensor is not as sensitive as it should be... Is this even possible? Or these sensor either work or they don't?

Thanks!
