Help with 1.8L M45 Supercharged Big Boost Setup
I am purchasing an M45 Jackson Racing setup with Powercard and Bipes ACU from someone. Now before everyone suggests I go turbo, I really just did not feel like dealing with all of the exhaust work and oil lines of the turbo setup and got a great deal on my supercharger setup.
Do I need to upgrade the fuel pump?
Will the Powercard and Bipes combination allow me to run 8PSI, with base timing of 14BTDC... i plan on having it retard 8 degrees over the RPM range, but was not certain about fuel.
Thanks!

Fuel pump is just a piece of mind. However, if you feel the need for one, I have a walbro 255 i would be willing to part with for 75 shipped. You will also needz intercooler. I would also suggest selling your powercard and bipes and using it to purchace a megasquirt and 315 supra injectors.

Let's hope it's a little longer than a week.
Thanks for the input. I'm scared of upgrading the fuel pump or injectors and creating idling problems. Glad to hear it will work ok as-is. Is the stock around 190 LPH?
I'd rather not go the complete standalone (MS or other) route... as this will add much complexity to the tuning... and how much extra power would I really get?
thx for the input.

Come back after properly tuning a band aid setup and see if you still think it's less complicated. On my setup, I had to install a fuel pressure gauge and adjust the fuel pressure, go for a drive to test the fuel onset point, go to the passenger foot well to adjust the o2 clamp with a multimeter, which was also where the Bipes was located. This is all hoping that the AFM doesn't need adjusting, because it uses black magic, and I don't have a black magicmeter.

The bandaids are nice if you are sure you wont upgrade but out of everyone here how many people do u think are still running the same setup as they were originally? How many have been bitten by the bug?

Maybe this will help?? http://www.mossmotors.com/graphics/p...ns/999-220.pdf
I didn't really read through it all, but I would imagine they could go in parallel and not matter.
I am also running an M45, but with AEM EMS, AEM map sensor, W/M injection, header back exhaust, custom coldside intake TB relocated to stock position and few other supporting mods. After I got my car tuned, from a certified AEM tuner my car made 190.7whp and 175tq at 5-6ish psi.
