RR-FPR for fuel management

Default RR-FPR for fuel management

Has anyone used a rising rate fuel pressure regulator to manage fuel lately. I'm looking to regulate fuel with a boost of only 8-10 psi.

p.s. I know a fuel return line is needed w/rrfpr if installed in a NB.

You can get a Megasquirt in the classified section for the same price as a good FPR. Why?

Why indeed. Right now I am looking for the easiest, most effective and most affordable way to manage fuel with 7-10 psi boost.

And spark? Megasquirt does both. You will have to buy something else to deal with spark.

This is the perfect example why we don't bother helping n00bs anymore. Here you have someone that was given all the good advice one would need, and then willingly pursue a path of FAIL and AIDS and actually choose to have shitty setup and be a dumb ***...

I haven't given up on this one yet (maybe I'm an idiot).

Lets look at costs. For an FPR, I wouldn't spend much less than what Begi charges (remember this is the device that will keep your engine from blowing up, Ebay is not an acceptable alternative). Lets say $200 for the RRFPR. Another $200 for a Bipes. So now you are at $400 for your bandaids. Nice and cheap. Except last time I checked there were FOUR (4) megasquirts in the classified section under $300.

Seriously OP, is there a reason you want to pay MORE for an inferior system? Add the TunerStudio license cost to your MS and it is still less than the bandaids, and it literally tunes the fuel for you.

If one of your bandaids was failing and you wanted to replace it rather than go MS I would understand. But I cannot see why you would CHOOSE to go this route from the beginning.

I'm not choosing anything yet...only researching. Your absolutely right about the MS too. It has so much more flexability than most anything else and the car/turbo shouln't "outgrow" it.

I'm just looking at every option...pros and cons. Can't find any downsides to the MS other than it is not really backed by a major corp.
