Update on these, seems like nearly every one of these brackets that gets ordered is for a Reverent ECU and so needs the adapter dabs as well. As a result we ran out of stock on those tabs so a couple guys have been in a holding pattern waiting for us to finish more tabs.

Those are being finished this week so existing orders that need the Reverent tabs should ship beginning of next week, and future orders needing the tabs will be back to shipping immediately.

Cool thanks, I made my own brackets with .5" angle aluminium but I'll use your brackets when I'll get them!

The more complicated the solution needs to be, the more demand there will be for a well-designed solution that takes the guesswork out of the process for the customer and makes it a bolt-on affair. Of the three ECU locations, the 99+ is the worst/most difficult to mount an aftermarket unit, followed by the 90-93. The 94-97 location is much easier for a DIYer to mount an ECU in, by just screwing it into the rear bulkhead. I'm not saying that's a good way to do it, but because it can be done that way easily, less guys will opt to spend money on a dedicated bracket.

94 R package owner here. I've got a REV Basic MS3 I received around November of last year. Currently, the ECU is just stuffed behind the passenger seat, with the seat holding it in place.

I know you mentioned a low projected sales volume, but I'm interested. Keep the price below $150, and I'll send you the cash today. I want to keep it in the OEM location, and while I could fab up a bracket, I'd prefer to buy a nice, pretty, production style one.

EDIT: I also fear water/snow for a foot-well mounted ECU. Plus all my wires are already cut to length and will likely not reach the footwell.

It's really pretty easy. I fabbed mine up in under an hour. What's the point of it being pretty if it's covered by carpet?

2ndGearRubber 01-15-2016 04:36 PM

I like things that look nice and work well. I can absolutely make one myself. I can cut, drill, weld, mount one. I'd prefer to buy a nice bracket.

ThePass 01-16-2016 12:57 PM

Thanks for your input Scott. Will probably get around to it just to complete the line-up and cover all years NA/NB.

Gimpster 10-05-2016 09:58 PM

Hey there.... another 94-97 owner in for a bracket that would fit an MSPNP. Like the previous poster, I am perfectly capable of welding/fabbing/etc but would prefer a nice pretty piece.

No way I'm pounding sheet metal screws into my car.

Reverent ECUs:

We've worked everything out for the Reverent Enhanced ECUs. Now when you order one of the ECU brackets through Good-Win Racing, just put a note during checkout that you need the tabs to fit the Reverent ECU and we'll throw them in the same box. No extra cost.

1999-2005 ECU Bracket:

It's here!
Built to fit your aftermarket ECU in the factory location under the dash of the NB miatas. Accommodates all the same ECUs as the 90-93 version; AEM, Megasquirt, MS3 Pro, Adaptronic.

Singular Motorsports Miata ECU Bracket for '99+ for Miata 1999-2005

Here it is, finished in our new "Chrome" powdercoat which is now standard;

1990-1993 Bracket Updates:

The early-model brackets also come standard in our new powdercoat now:

Singular Motorsports Miata ECU Bracket for Miata 1990-1993

PRICE Updates:

So we've added more features to the brackets... price needs to go up right? Nope!

We've been working to streamline the production process for these and keep our costs under our target. This has allowed us to DROP the price to $59 for both ECU models! The new pricing is live on Good-Win Racing.

I have a 2005 RHD Miata will this bracket fit?

6speed 10-21-2016 03:54 PM

I ordered one of these for my Rev. MS3 basic going into a 00 model. I've had my ecu for awhile and I guess it was an early larger unit and it wouldn't fit as is. I made a cutout on one end for my pin connector and a few tiny zip ties on the other end to tie the adapter to the mount and it works. With those mods it fit well and is a much better solution than just stuffing the ecu under the dash with huge zip ties around the steering column. Even though it wasn't a direct fit, I am really satisfied with the set-up. It is a well made product I would buy again.

ChrisLol 01-18-2017 04:03 PM

That is a very cool piece. It appeals to my OCD for sure. Doesn't matter if it's hidden.

I fabbed up something similar to get the ECU up off the floor.:

If you want the bolt pattern for the Haltech Elite 1500, and Elite 750/550 I can send them to you if you'd like to add those to the plate if there is room.

Before I try to drill into it...

Are the NB brackets incompatible with the DIY MS3? I have a brain built unit and I don't think it fits. I mean, I don't think I'm that spatially challenged haha.

ThePass 03-09-2017 02:20 PM

There are holes provided for the DIY PNP, MS3 Pro, Reverent built MS3, AEM EMS-4 and Adaptronic E440D, but that doesn't mean other ECUs are entirely incompatible. If your DIY MS3 has a different footprint and that's all that keeps it from bolting up then by all means, drill away!

I have the Singular bracket, but I have not tried fitting it with my MS3X. I might give it a try this weekend.

Handhold plz, im scurred!

Jokes aside, ill see if i can find some screws that drill through. The box is too wide to fit under the shelf as well.

Please post here when you figure out a decent way to get it mounted!

That part of things is a bigger hurdle than the holes. If the ECU case is too tall to fit under the shelf of the bracket, that means it probably won't fit under the dash in the factory location - that shelf on the bracket pretty much butts up against other hard parts under the dash.

Yeah, I had no idea it was potentially incompatible. Will wait and see what Lars says. Mine is attached with zipties for now.

ridethecliche 04-13-2017 06:12 PM

@ThePass

I think this is the case that my ms3x came in. Images from DIY Autotune. As you can see, it mounts underneath in the footwell but the case is a bit wider than the oem bracket. I just wanted to confirm that you hadn't tested this one in your setup as we'd discussed previously on this thread.

Thank you!

Woops, missed this, sorry. I can confirm that is not one of the ones we've confirmed ;)

Heh, that's what I figured. I gave it to a friend that was very happy with it!

Thanks for the response!

Sorry for the thread resurrection, I did not see the MSPNP Gen 2 mentioned, will that fit this bracket? Thanks!

What are the LxWxH dimensions of your case?

It's this guy, don't have it on me so I'll have to wait until I get the car back.

On my -99 NB the ecu is mounted to passanger footwell, I think it is eu thing? Would the 90-93 work for me?

Not sure. Compare your footwell with pics of 90-93 footwell and ECU bracket to determine if you have the same mounting points as the 90-93.

ThePass 05-15-2022 04:46 PM

Got an inquiry asking if the 99-05 ECU Bracket allows access to the options port on the MS3 Pro. Happened to have an MS3 Pro sitting here today.
Answer: yes! You have full access to every port on the ECU.

Do y'all make a RHD variant of the ECU brackets? I purchased one for a 90-93 and it does work but the top hole doesn't like up at all.

With the kick plate installed over it the ECU is held firm. Just wish I had an option to reduce vibration.

Unfortunately we have no RHD cars here in the US to take measurements and see what would need to be tweaked. So, the brackets are intended for LHD but *might* work on RHD cars to some extent but we can't confirm. We wouldn't do a RHD specific version - too little demand - but I'd be happy to take a look at whether some additions or tweaks could be made to make the one version work better on RHD cars in addition to LHD. But for that I'd need someone with a RHD car to send us measurements etc. to even be able to take a look at what's possible.

I can do that for you. I'm in South Carolina but I have a RHD car. I'll get pictures and measurements for you. The bracket worked at the bottom mounting holes but the top hole didn't work. It wouldn't take much to make a modification to what you're producing to make it compatible with both.

I sent you an email with pictures and the measurements. If anyone is wondering how the bracket fits RHD cars as they are made now I attached a pic.
