Just spent some time with Oscar Jackson tuning a 1.6 liter Spec Miata with a Rotrex Supercharger. Interesting thing about the SC, is the boost can be predicted directly from engine RPM, so adjusting the timing for best performance is much easier than for a Turbo, as the "timing curve" mimics the boost curve, so the majority of the cells in the timing MAP will never be "seen" by the car.
